Five Seriously Injured In Suspected DUI Crash: West Chester Police

Five people were rushed to Paoli Trauma Center with serious injuries following a suspected DUI car crash in West Chester, police say.

It happened on the 700 block of Downingtown Pike just before 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, the department wrote in a release. Two cars collided and "several people" were trapped, they said. 

Twenty-four-year-old Reginald Loper of Exton was charged with DUI and related counts following an investigation into the crash, authorities said. 

Court records show he was arranged on Wednesday, June 28, and released after posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bond. Loper is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on July 7.
